Its okay, but not great, the seats are not very comfortable, they are very old and most are stained and worn, the speakers are distorted and really hurt your ears when the train manager speaks through them. If you are on a long journey expect to be challenged for your tickets multiple times which is irritating as all I want to do after work is relax and maybe sleep. The staff are polite but can have a stressed approach when boarding and asking to see tickets. Also the free WiFi that is advertised is false advertising as the WiFi never works, if you are on a business journey do not expect to hold a decent phone call as there is next to zero signal.Positives are they have never had any delays or cancellations that I have experience and are speedy at transporting you from North to South of the country. Overall the ticket prices for the service that is provided are really not worth it. I do appreciate all key workers that come to work for emr and I'm thankful that the service runs, but the trains really do need some TLC.

After a great few days in London, your on train team made the return journey home so relaxing. The service was second to none, with more drinks and snacks than we could eat.
They offered a promotional upgrade to first class which didn't work. I gave the error number to the costumer service but they were absolutely useless. Costumer and service means nothing to EMR.
Riding one of their trains and I lost my ticket between stations. I explained this to the ticketing staff but because the ticket office was closed, they advised me to call EMR. All their phone lines were closed so I had to message them on FB where they told me that company policy for a lost ticket is that you need to buy another, despite having the receipts and collection codes on me, which set me back 70, almost the price of the original journey. Basically a giant middle finger, \computer says no\ response from them. I thought CrossCountry was the worst train line in the UK but now I feel like EMR might be a contender. Though expecting any kind of compassionate response from anybody in the UK rail network is pretty ambitious.
Never had issues with my travel on train, cheaper than bus and amazing when can complete it all online only thing is finding which train goes where can be confusing especially when new to train lines and services
